Values Based Education

Our Value of the Month is: Hope

Our aim at Clehonger CE Primary School is to raise standards by promoting a school ethos which is underpinned by core Values. These values support the development of the whole child as a reflective learner within a calm, caring, happy and purposeful atmosphere.

Our core Values include: Courage, Loyalty, Self Belief, Self Acceptance, Creativity, Peace, Love, Belonging, Hope, Passion, Persistence, Kindness, Independence, Bravery, Freedom, Thoughtfulness, Perseverance, Forgiveness, Caring, Equality, Honesty, Friendship, Patience, Co-operation, Responsibility, Respect, Thankfulness, Teamwork, Resilience, Quality, Tolerance, Fairness, Trust and Understanding.

They are the basis for the social, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and moral development of the whole child. We teach these directly through assemblies and lessons; however, they also permeate the whole curriculum. We encourage children to consider these Values, and thereby to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes that enable them to develop as reflective learners and grow to be stable, educated and civil adults.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Clehonger CE Primary will be extending it’s opening to ALL pupils from Monday 8th March 2021. We are currently only open to vulnerable pupils and children of critical workers. • Thank you to all parents for the high level of engagement in remote learning and for the support of those parents with pupils currently attending. We are looking forward to seeing all of the children back in school.
