Year 5 is taught by Mrs G. Sage (Class Teacher).
We are an extremely enthusiastic and curious bunch who enjoy puzzles and problem solving!
Our topic this term is the rainforests and our big question is:
“Why should the rainforest be important to us all?”
Please see our topic overview on our class page for more information about the links to our big question.
Homework will be handed out on Fridays each week and will generally be linked to what we have been learning about in class. Spelling tests will take place on a Friday and new spellings will be given out on the Friday.
Each child has a reading book and a reading record and it would be gratefully appreciated if you could take the time to listen to your child read at home. All children should be reading at every night at home and it is important that this is signed off in reading records. Reading books, records and graffiti spelling books should be brought to school every day.
Year 5 have PE sessions every Tuesday and Friday.
