Welcome

Welcome to Clehonger Church of England (VC) Primary and Little Gems Pre-school

I am the 'Head of School' at Clehonger and am very proud to be as it is such a happy, dynamic and forward thinking school.  Visitors to our school consistently comment on the friendly, calm, determined, family atmosphere that exists here.

Our Christian faith is at the heart of our school and we encourage the children to shine in their lives; Dream it, Believe it, Achieve it.  Through our Christian values, that are embedded throughout our school, children learn to respect and love one another within a supportive and caring atmosphere that is a tremendous quality of the school. For all of our children we aim to foster an enthusiasm for life, develop inner self confidence and nurture good manners embracing life-long citizenship.

I am so proud of our strong team of dedicated staff that have the highest expectations of the pupils who excel across the breadth of the curriculum.   They cannot be thanked enough for the academic results achieved throughout the school in 2015.

We have very supportive parents who join in with all aspects of school life which inlude: running the library, taking part in Sports Relief, putting on  fantastic fundraising events, hearing children read or putting up sheds! Our dedicated team of governors  are pro-active in their role and work closely with myself, to ensure the needs of our children come first and are at the heart of every decision we make.

We hope you thoroughly enjoy visiting our website and I look forward to welcoming you in person to our school.

With warm regards

Elissa Vigus
