A warm welcome to our Ruby Class Page!
Ruby class is taught by Miss Addis (Class Teacher), Mrs Gage (Teaching Assistant) and Mrs Dallow (1:1 support). We are an inquisitive and enthusiastic group who enjoy problem solving!
Our topic this term is Ancient Maya. Please see our topic overview on our class page for more information about the links to our topic.
Spelling tests will take place on a Friday and new spellings will be given out on the Friday. Homework always includes reading, spelling and times table practise. Any additional homework will be handed out on Friday each week and will generally be linked to what we have been learning about in class. Additional homework will be collected in on Wednesday.
Each child has a reading book and a reading record and it would be gratefully appreciated if you could take the time to listen to your child read at home. All children should be reading at every night at home and it is important that this is signed off in reading records. Reading books, records and graffiti spelling books should be brought to school every day.
Children will have their PE session Monday afternoons and we will be swimming this term.
Ruby class will be learning French on a Thursday afternoons and learning how to play the toot on Monday mornings. We are looking at French phrases and words to develop our conversation skills.
I hope that you will enjoy looking at our class web page to find out about some of the things that we are learning. Please remember if there is anything I can help with then do not hesitate to catch me.
Thank you for all your support,
Ruby Class Team
